Job Title: Immigration Attorney - Family Immigration and Asylum (Remote)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Immigration Attorney specializing in family immigration and asylum cases. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a significant impact on clients' lives. The successful candidate will be barred in good standing in any state, including Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in family immigration and asylum cases, ensuring thorough and compassionate legal counsel.
  • Prepare and file applications and petitions for family immigration and asylum.
  • Conduct client consultations to assess eligibility and provide legal advice.
  • Show up to court cases virtually, representing clients in immigration hearings and related proceedings.
  • Stay current on immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progression.
  • Handle complex immigration issues and provide strategic solutions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case records.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on family immigration and asylum cases.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Proficient in legal research and legal document preparation.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Compassionate and client-focused approach.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in legal software and case management tools.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
