A litigation boutique of 170 employees, has an opportunity for an associate attorney with at least 3 years of experience in all phases of insurance defense and insurance coverage cases. Candidates must be licensed in Missouri and Kansas, ideal candidates will also be licensed in Arkansas, and have the ability to work independently on complex insurance defense and insurance coverage cases.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage file throughout litigation process independently and as a part of the team.
Conduct fact investigations.
Handle document productions and other discovery tasks.
Prepare witnesses for deposition.
Take and defend depositions.
Prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
Court hearing preparation and attendance including oral arguments of motions.
Trial preparation and attendance including trial team support and direct and cross examination of witnesses.

Billable Hours Requirement: 1,800/year
Compensation: The range will depend on level of experience but would be somewhere between $110,000 and $130,000.
