We are an Ambulatory Infusion Clinic in the Fort Bend/Sugar Land area with a relentless focus on the patient experience. We are completely reimagining the environment and quality of care for the administration of infusion therapies of specialty drugs.

We are locally owned and operated by a small group with complementary skills including board-certified medicine, pharmacy, marketing, and design.

We are forward-thinking, tech-savvy, and culture-focused. And ready to disrupt this space.

Above all, we foster an environment where people feel respected and valued, have fun, and enjoy putting their best foot forward to work towards a shared vision of success.

The Job

We’re looking for an Infusion Intake Coordinator, ideally with experience working in an Ambulatory Infusion Clinic, physician’s office-based infusion environment, or other infusion-related experience.

This is a fast-paced role, and a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a growing practice. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our growth and expansion, with significant opportunity for job growth for the right candidate.

Position Overview

In this role, you will specialize in welcoming patients to our facility, checking them in, scheduling patients, discuss coverage and estimated financial responsibilities with patients and their families, and managing other day-to-day functions of the infusion center.

***You must have a maniacal focus on details and great project-management skills to excel in this role.

***This is a hybrid position; some days you will be in the clinic and others you will work from home.

***Some Saturday half-day coverage will be required.

Major responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources by receiving and processing intake information for potential patients who require infusion therapy
  • Schedule patients, clinicians, and track patients’ progress
  • Request necessary documentation from referring providers, patients, and their insurance companies
  • Review ordering physician notes and infusion orders to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Communicate with patients/families regarding coverage and payment responsibilities
  • Enter and maintain patient demographic information in EMR system
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the facility

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent required; associate's degree from an accredited college/university preferred
  • 2 years’ experience working in a medical/clinical setting, ideally infusion-related
  • Experience collecting patient referral information in the healthcare space
  • Experience obtaining insurance prior authorizations, pre-determinations, pre-certifications; and an understanding of insurance coverages and participation
  • Excellent soft skills: strong communication capabilities, emotional intelligence, dependable in attendance and job performance, team player with a positive attitude and work ethic, etc.
  • Bonus: Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment

Why work with us?

  • You’ll be paid what you're worth. We understand value and offer competitive pay based on your experience and the specific skills you bring to the table that matter the most to us.
  • You will learn a ton. We’re a small group and you will wear many hats. You will work on different aspects of the business and learn about all of them.
  • We put people first. One of our founding principles was to create an environment where all people - our team, our patients, and everyone else - feel respected and valued.
  • We’re like a family. It sounds sappy, but we are. And we take care of each other like family.
  • We’re laid back. Great work doesn’t need to be done in a cold and stuffy environment. We are pretensionless, laugh a lot and don’t take ourselves too seriously.
  • Our moral compass is strong. We always, always do the right thing. For each other, our patients, and everyone else we interact with.
