We have an opening fora licensed Dentist at Camp Fretterd Military Reservation (CFMR), 5555 Rue Saint Lo Drive, BLDG 205, Reisterstown Maryland, 21136, and at The Flight Surgeon's Clinic 2624 Fairview Point Road, Building E-6814, Edgewood Maryland 21040.
Period of Performance: 12 Months; 0800-1630 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday,
Responsibilities:

• Educate Soldiers on resources available to improve oral health and dental readiness.
• Attend mass medical readiness events to complete dental examinations as determined by the needs of the state and the individual units.
• Perform comprehensive dental examinations, assess current oral health, and determine the risk of future oral disease IAW AR 40-35 and will be documented on paper forms (DD 2813, SF 603) and electronically in DENCLASS
• The dentist will document all dental concerns and findings as the Soldier reports them and found during examination. Any dental problems that fall below retention standards IAW AR 40-35 will be documented.

• Report significant or concerning findings to the Deputy State Surgeon or their designee.
• Will review civilian documentation (DD 2813) and document findings accordingly. All civilian documentation will be uploaded into DENCLASS.
• Coordinate dental treatment plans with appropriate medical or dental facilities.
• comply with all military, legal (HIPPA and Privacy Act), and regulatory policies and procedures concerning these duties and responsibilities of a licensed dentist.
• follow the regulations and policies applicable to individual medical readiness (IMR) and deployment concerning dental readiness, including AR 40-35, AR 40-501, AR 40-502, and other applicable guidance.

Qualifications:

• Dentist shall possess the required technical skills and expertise to perform the functions with minimal guidance. The Dentist must have a current Dental License from the state of Maryland. The license and certificates must be renewed and maintained during the life of the contract.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and a minimum of three years of experience as a dentist with the military population
• Medical Malpractice insurance is a must.
• shall be able to read, write understand, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with all Soldiers and other healthcare providers.
