Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team, reporting to the VP of Engineering. You will play a crucial role in developing and improving our metrology gages, focusing on electrical system development, prototype testing, and transitioning components to manufacturing. This hands-on position requires strong design skills, creative thinking, and efficient teamwork on multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Development: Design electrical architecture, wiring for industrial machines, electrical panels, digital/analog circuits, and DC-DC switching power supplies.
- Documentation Support: Create and update electrical wiring diagrams, correct electrical drawings, and generate PCB manufacturing packages.
- Manufacturing Support: Address PCB manufacturing questions, find substitutes for obsolete components, assist assemblers, troubleshoot systems, and guide Field Service Engineers.
- Motion Control System Design: Develop control systems, Brushless DC Servo Motor Controls, test/maintain/modify systems, and work with microcontrollers and FPGA (C and VHDL/Verilog).
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Master's desired but not required).
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a related field.
- Skills:
- Fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design for automated industrial systems.
- Leadership and team management.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong prototyping skills and hands-on engineering lab experience.
