Title: Cash Application Specialist

Location: Aurora, IL

Compensation: $25-27/hour depending on relevant experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Process and apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts.
• Reconcile bank deposits and payments.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the accounts receivable and collections teams to ensure accurate and timely cash applications.
• Maintain accurate records of cash receipts and transactions.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly cash application reports.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to cash applications.
• Communicate with customers regarding payment issues or discrepancies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study
• 3-5 years' of experience working in Accounting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
