Job: HR Administrator
Pay: $50 - $52k
Location: Charlotte, NC
Type: DH
Hours: 8am-5pm
Schedule: Hybrid role - 2 days from home of their choice
Reports to: HR Director
Travel: Yes, 15% roughly
Software: ADP
Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day administration processes of all personnel duties including but not limited to hiring, orientation, training, wage & salary administration, benefits administration, personnel records, employee relations, communications, and safety and accident reporting
The role is a non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Human Resources
Maintain all physical personnel files, medical and safety files as needed
Enter, update, and maintain all personnel information in the payroll/HRIS system as needed
Communicates new company policies, procedures, and programs ensuring company compliance with all laws/regulations
Advise employees and managers on employee relations issues; ensures proper documentation
Work with corporate management team to facilitate best practices and procedures across all location
Assist with administration and communication of all facets of the company benefits plans
Assist with compensation changes to ensure compliance with Wage & Hour Laws
Assist with communications for all employee leave communications
This includes coordination of Return-to-Work process for all injured employees and direct contact with the insurance company and management
Managers Random drug screening program and documentation to ensure compliance with FMCSR and Company drug test program
Ensures timely tracking, reporting and posting of all government requirements such as EEO-1 Report and OSHA Logs
Provides verification of employment to third parties for current and past employees
Process employee changes and salary changes
Complete other independent special HR and Safety projects as directed
Attend meetings and Company events as needed
Follow up metrics of events and programs prepared to evaluate success against plan and create and identify opportunities for improvement
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
Requirements:
Above average oral and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
Must include Excel and skills in database management and record keeping
Above Average knowledge of HRIS (ADP)
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
Excellent organizational skills
Above Average Time Management skills
Understanding the importance of Diversity and Inclusion
Minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision
