Job Description:
  • Responsible for assisting in drafting and preparing various legal documents, such as routine notices, filings, pleadings, and letters
  • Compile, review, and organize documents for meetings, trials, and filings, and convey routine information to clients about legal and contractual issues under the direction of counsel
  • Perform legal research as assigned by attorneys, assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, and use Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Assist with contract reviews, work with other departments as needed, make process improvements, and implement recommendations
  • Maintain the inventory of office supplies, establish and maintain litigation and other files, correspondence, records, certificates, and other documents
  • Schedule meetings, set up video conference calls, assist with travel arrangements, efile documents with state and federal courts, create TOAs and TOCs, and perform other executive administrative functions as needed
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience in a civil litigation firm preferred
  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to work independently while managing changing priorities and projects
  • Experience writing effective and diplomatic correspondence
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, planning, confidentiality, and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of federal and state court rules, efiling, calendaring, and docketing
  • College degree or paralegal certificate strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in an employment litigation setting strongly preferred, though not required
