Addison Group is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Raleigh, NC

Opening: Litigation Paralegal

Salary $70k - $85k

Location: Raleigh, NC

Type: DH

**Fully on-site

Hours: 8:30- 5pm (37.5 hour weeks)

Experience: At least 5 year’s of Paralegal experience in Litigation. 5-10 is the preferred range.

Software: No requirements

Supports: 1 Attorney

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive legal research and gather relevant case-related information to support attorneys in case strategy development.

Assist in preparation for trial, including organizing and managing documents, exhibits, and evidence.

Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including complaints, pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other court appearances, while maintaining communication with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.

Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, and other parties involved in the litigation process, ensuring clear and timely exchange of information.

Assist in the preparation of witnesses for deposition, trial, or other proceedings by conducting interviews and coordinating meetings.

Assist attorneys during trials, hearings, and mediations, including managing exhibits, taking notes, and preparing summaries.

Utilize legal software and databases to retrieve, organize, and analyze case-related information and evidence.

Stay up-to-date with changes in litigation rules, regulations, and procedures, and ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.

Required Skills:

5-10 years experience as a Litigation Paralegal

Exceptional knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, and court rules.

Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and analyze relevant legal issues.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.

Proficiency in using legal research software and databases to retrieve and analyze case-related information.

Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to manage large volumes of documents and deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in using technology and software applications commonly used in legal practice, such as MS Office, case management software, and eDiscovery tools.
