Our client, a national well-established pediatric clinic, is hiring a Medical Assistant to assist their quickly growing practice! This is a direct hire position that offers the opportunity to work closely with children.

Pay Rate: $19 - $22 /hr

Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

Day to day :

• Checking patients in
• Confirm patient identification
• Schedule appointments
• Document patient metrics including vitals, height and weight
• Perform other screenings as requested or ordered
• Assist with keeping visits on time and on schedule
• Verify insurance, collect copays, and manage medical records
• Explain procedures to patient and family members
• Perform procedures as requested
• Respond to incoming phone and EHP messages
• Administering vaccines
• Collecting specimen including phlebotomy
• Assist providers during examinations
• Use medical testing devices including but not limited to…
  • Pulse Oximetry
  • Glucose monitoring
  • Hemoglobin monitoring
  • Nebulizers
  • Blood testing
  • Oxygen delivery

Requirements:

• HS diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant diploma (no certification required)
• BLS/CPR Certification
• Experience using an EMR (Athena preferred, not required)
• Pediatric experience (preferred, not required)
• Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred, not required)
