Position: Medical Collector- Profee

Pay: $20-23/hr (Based on Experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: M-F 8-5, flexibility on start time

Location: Houston, TX

Job Description:

• Will be working to clean up some old AR, working with all insurance companies, commercial and govt
• Will have to work with claims denials and appeals and reaching out to the patients as well as insurance companies
• Knowledgeable on EOB and deductibles as well as working the different payer websites
• Will be writing appeals letters and sending them out to insurances for any appealed or denied claim
• Familiarity with aging AR and comfortable working non-current AR
• Will be working on the phone and in different payer systems on the computer
• Athena is the system in which they operate so any familiarity with Athena will be a plus, but not a requirement
• Need to be a multi-tasker and familiarity with the entire revenue cycle

Requirements:

• Medical Collections (CMS1500)
• Drafting Appeals Letter
• Knowledge of medical terms
