Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. As a crucial member of our firm, you will provide comprehensive support to attorneys specializing in commercial real estate transactions. Your role will involve conducting due diligence, drafting legal documents, managing deadlines, and facilitating seamless communication between clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial real estate law, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Document Preparation: Draft and revise a variety of legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, leases, closing documents, and title documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
  2. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence investigations, including title searches, zoning research, environmental assessments, and property surveys, to identify any potential issues or risks associated with real estate transactions.
  3. Transaction Support: Assist attorneys in all stages of commercial real estate transactions, from initial negotiations to closing, by organizing and managing transaction documents, coordinating with clients and third-party vendors, and facilitating communication between all parties involved.
  4. Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law pertaining to commercial real estate transactions, and provide attorneys with analysis and summaries of findings as needed.
  5. Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, providing status updates on transactions, and ensuring that client needs and expectations are met in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Deadline Management: Maintain calendars, track deadlines, and proactively communicate with attorneys and clients to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed on time and in accordance with established timelines.
  7. File Maintenance: Organize and maintain electronic and physical files for commercial real estate transactions, ensuring that all documents are accurately recorded and easily accessible for reference.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to commercial real estate transactions, and assist attorneys in preparing and filing necessary legal documents with government agencies and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a paralegal, with a focus on commercial real estate law.
  2. Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, including knowledge of legal principles, documentation requirements, and common industry practices.
  3. Proficiency in conducting legal research using online databases and other resources.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
  5. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
