Addison Group is Hiring a PM - Senior Project Manager - Dallas Near Irving, TX
Title: Senior SDLC PM Location: Dallas, TX Area Salary: $120,000 - 135,000 No sponsorship available Our client is a recession proof organization that has been in business for over 40 years. They are revamping their internal software engine that runs their business and acts as a portal to their customers. This is where you come in. They don't have a PMO but need a PM to wear many hats and report directly into the VP of IT and owners. This will have "C" level exposure and will rely on your ability to work on major C# and SQL Data Lake projects. This person will oversee the successful execution of projects, working closely with team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track, creating planning steps, managing budgets, and identifying the required resources for projects. They must be a strategic thinker, have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and possess the ability to manage all aspects of the project simultaneously. Responsibilities
Lead technology development and implementation projects; primarily software development, but some projects include solution or infrastructure implementation
Develop and implement product delivery strategy and reduce costs
Deliver product development strategies (organization, global footprint, cost management, processes, and metrics), typically in an Agile environment
Utilize best practice methodologies (Agile and/or waterfall or hybrid delivery models)
Enable technology solutions and change management programs to help deliver on our company mission critical objectives.
Requirements
Agile team leadership experience serving as a Scrum Master promoting and influencing agile practices in portfolio, project, product, and department processes
5 years of information technology project management experience
Expertise managing large projects in customer service, finance, or automotive services
Knowledge of various software products such as Jira, MS Teams, Confluence, DevOps, or SharePoint
Competent understanding of DevOps, CI/CD concepts.
PMP certification preferred
General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strategic planning skills to plan at a strategic (one to three year) and operational (annual) and current (quarterly) view.
Advanced planning skills to mobilize teams, confirm scope, plan resources, establish release schedules and plans, and manage a financial budget for medium to large sized projects or product delivery teams.
Advanced analytical skills to assess processes, systems, scope, requirements, and teams and organize thoughts and ideas utilizing analytic techniques.
Expertise to identify improvement opportunities and ability to convey the need for change.
Versatile ability to apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methods, steps, roles, and responsibilities to ensure Agile practices are utilized while ensuring advances in security, continuous build, quality, and measurements are achieved. End to end and UAT test planning.
Contributes to solution and delivery scope, requirements, and feature discussions.
Competent understanding of solution technologies associated with assigned Projects or Products to effectively structure schedules based on technology dependencies and risk mitigations.
Advanced skills with department tools and technologies including MS Office Tools, Agile planning and tracking tools like Jira and Jira Portfolio, Confluence, MS Project.
Non-Technical Skills:
Leadership skills to organize, motivate, and lead multiple projects or product teams across organizational boundaries
Ability to create trusted relationships with key executive stakeholders, department leads and team members. Viewed as a trusted stakeholder advocate.
Project experience in delivering technology solutions in a team-based environment
Education
College degree or equivalent in technology-related field (computer science, engineering, information technology, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent and zero to three years of relevant project experience is required. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
