Addison Group is Hiring a Senior Tax Manager Near Los Angeles, CA
Addison Group, in partnership with our client near Beverly Hills, seeks a Senior Tax Manager to join a well-respected accounting firm. This role is for the Tax Manager who wants exposure to entertainment and sport clients
Job – The hired Senior Tax Manager will help with tax planning, company tax filings, and personal filings of the firm’s clients. You will work with LLC’s, LLP’s, S-Corps, and FTE’s. You will report to a Partner at the firm.
Job Site Status (Remote/Hybrid/Onsite) – Our client has a hybrid work site status of two (2) days/week at our client’s San Fernando Valley or Westside office.

Salary/Compensation – Salary range is at $140,000-$185,000/year. Our client offers a bonus as well, based on the firm’s performance. Some benefits include a 401k, an above average # of PTO holidays, and a profit-sharing program.
SENIOR TAX MANAGER TASKS
Tax
- Prepare business tax returns (Sales and Use / Business Property / L.A. Gross Receipts Tax)
- Proofread all income tax returns prepared by staff and Partners (Personal, Gift Tax, Estate, Trust)
- Proofread all C Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, LLC, LLP, FTE’s, and Benefit Plan tax returns nationwide
- Prepare Form 706’s
- Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040, 1041, etc.)
- Confirm tax credits
- Review various schedules (M-1, M-3, K-1)
- Analyze financial data to prepare accurate financial statements as an advisory tool for the clients
- Perform tax research to stay abreast of current developments
- Implement tax advice
- Keep the firm’s clients abreast of all development
Tax Research
- Keep abreast of all current IRS promulgations
- Update the Firm’s procedures on all tax matters
Audit
- Supervise audit engagements
- Set and adhere to audit deadlines
- Ensure proper billing of your clients for all audit engagements
Management and Mentorship
- Coach accounting professionals under your supervision on their professional and personal growth plans
- Assist in all employee reviews
Miscellaneous
- Accept any other ad-hoc duties
SENIOR TAX MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- At least six (6) years of work experience in the field of tax for high-net worth individuals
- Public accounting firm pedigree
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another related field
- Previous or current managerial skills
Preferred
- CPA
- Master’s Degree in Taxation
- Entertainment industry experience in royalties
SENIOR TAX MANAGER SKILLS

Technical
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (MS Excel)
- Proficient in a Tax Preparation software
Interpersonal
- Willingness to be hands-on
- Strong project management skills
- Superb interpersonal abilities
- Train and Mentor staff
