As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, documentation, build, test, implementation, and support of core images, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring user availability across the federal government. As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, documentation, build, test, implementation, and support of core images, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring user availability across the federal government. Our team is responsible for providing critical engineering, IT troubleshooting, and infrastructure management.
What You’ll Do
- Repair computers and peripheral devices using tools, equipment, and procedures
- Use initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines
- Provide advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Utilize advanced proficiency in Visio, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Recommend potential security, speed, and/or system enhancements for the desktop environment
- Resolve problems associated with application support and password resets
- Provide tier 1 and 2 support to end users
- Manage and coordinate direct customer interactions from incoming calls, walk-ups, emails, support calls, and via third-party
- A minimum of 7 years of Systems Engineering experience
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory:
- User account creation
- Basic AD understanding
- Experience with VMWare products:
- VMware vSphere
- VMware Horizon
- Installation and configuration
- Troubleshooting
- VDI image creation and maintenance
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 or newer:
- Installation and configuration
- Troubleshooting
- An MCSE 2012/2016/2019 certification
- An active TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to commute to Rosslyn, VA
- A passion for troubleshooting desktop errors and providing support and maintenance for the end-user desktop experience, including hardware and software
