Addison Group Los Angeles, in partnership with our Medical Practice client, seeks a Staff Accountant to join their team on a direct hire basis. This role is a 100% remote role.

Job Description – The hired Staff Accountant will provide accounting and revenue recognition support to members of the Finance team. You will perform month-end closes, recognize revenue, maintain client files, and perform other duties.

Compensation/Benefits – Salary range is $65,000-$70,000/year, depending on qualifications. Benefits include a 401K retirement plan, Medical/Dental/Vision Health Insurance, and PTO.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

General Ledger (G/L) Accounting

• Book journal entries
• Research expenses
• Perform month-end closes
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheets
• Maintain schedules for Finance Team to prepare P&L analyses

Revenue

• Perform cash management duties (update Cash Flow)
• Process cash receipts
• Assign G/L codes to cash receipts for posting
• Run Claims Payable and Paid reports

Miscellaneous

• Perform other ad hoc duties

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Required

• At least one (1) year of accounting experience
• Current or prior employment at a Medical Practice/Health Care/Health Plan/Hospital employer with billing duties
• Exposure to payroll
• Experience with Payroll tax expenses, bonuses, etc.
• Experience with reconciliations and booking Journal Entries
• Ability to manage large sets of data
