We are currently seeking a full-time, direct hire **Licensed Therapist** in **Richmond, VA** . This opportunity is at a new but proven program, assisting incarcerated individuals prepare for release. **Requirements:**

Master's degree in counseling, social work, behavioral health, or related field

Independent clinical license

A minimum of 2 years of experience working in mental health and substance use disorders

Ability to pass DOC security clearance

Driver's license

**Job duties:**

Conducting group sessions within a correctional facility

Providing frequent, supportive communications

Preparing for sessions in advance to maximize effectiveness of interactions

Evaluating and documenting progress and support

Building a bond of trust to ensure smooth transition to post-release services

Documenting sessions in electronic record system, including noteworthy interactions or changes

Working collaboratively with care teams, providing feedback on progress as well as recommendations

Participating in internal meetings as needed

**Pay Details:** $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
