Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis of building envelope components (windows, cladding, etc.) using industry-standard software (e.g., SolidWorks) and in-house calculation tools.
- Optimize designs for strength, weight, and material usage, ensuring they meet all performance requirements.
- Analyze wind load impact on building envelope systems and ensure compliance with relevant building codes.
- Develop and maintain building envelope analysis tools and charts for efficient design iteration.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure structural integrity and constructability of building envelope components.
- Evaluate and implement industry-specific software for glass design and analysis.
- Assist with the selection and configuration of glass packages for optimal performance.
- Analyze data from wind load analysis tools provided by the supply chain.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to structural analysis and design.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in structural analysis of building envelope systems.
- Proven experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SolidWorks) and finite element analysis (FEA) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, wind load analysis, and building code requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on optimization.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software a plus.
- Experience with industry-specific software for window glass design is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
