Adelphia Seafood is Hiring a Warehouse Manager Near Reading, PA
Adelphia Seafood, a wholesale leader in fresh seafood, is hiring a Warehouse Manager. Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, managing the receiving of products, coordinating shipments to customers, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, a strong understanding of food handling, and excellent organizational and leadership skills. The warehouse manager is someone who is flexible and able to cover different shifts when needed to help ensure continuous operations, address immediate staffing needs, and maintain overall efficiency in the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Warehouse Manager/Supervisory experience with at least three years’ experience or in a similar role within the seafood or food industry as well as one full year of responsibility for receiving and shipping. Familiarity with food handling and storage is highly preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with warehouse management systems and software.
- Knowledge: Understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. Knowledge of machinery and equipment used in shipping and receiving. Above average math aptitude and neat appearance is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items occasionally up to 50 lbs. Comfort with working in a cold storage and food production environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
