The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and front-end development using modern frameworks such as React or Svelte. You will collaborate closely with other developers, product owners, and stakeholders to create intuitive, visually stunning, and highly functional user interfaces that deliver an exceptional user experience.

Primary Responsibilities: _
- Lead the UI/UX design process, creating wireframes, clickable prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Participate in design reviews, usability testing, and gathering user feedback to refine and iterate on the UI/UX design.
- Create and maintain a design system, including style guides, component libraries, and documentation, to ensure consistency and reusability across the application.
- Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using React, Svelte, or other modern frameworks, following best practices for code security, organization, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with back-end development to define API contracts, ensure seamless integration, and optimize data transfer between the front-end and back-end.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs using libraries such as Axios or Fetch to handle data retrieval, manipulation, and display.
- Implement client-side state management using libraries like Redux or MobX to manage complex application states and ensure data consistency.
- Implement real-time communication using WebSockets to enable dynamic and interactive features within the application.
- Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, and other performance optimization techniques, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Additional Responsibilities: _
- Collaborate with other developers on various aspects of the application development process.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure code reliability.
- Contribute to the development of build processes, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines for a Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS.
- Work with infrastructure teams to ensure smooth integration of the application with existing systems and AWS services.
- Collaborate with the team to set up and maintain development, staging, and production environments on AWS using Kubernetes.
- Assist with the integration of third-party services and APIs.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of tools and technologies for the development stack.
- Contribute to the development of security measures and best practices to protect the application and user data.
Requirements: _
- United States citizen, living in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience in UI/UX design and front-end development, with a proven track record of creating engaging and user-friendly interfaces.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, and CSS3, with a deep understanding of modern front-end frameworks such as React or Svelte.
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and best practices for creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
- Proficiency in using design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering user feedback to inform design decisions.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and best practices for creating inclusive and accessible interfaces.
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and implementing real-time communication using WebSockets.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance design aesthetics with technical feasibility.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and gather feedback from cross-functional teams.
- Portfolio showcasing exceptional UI/UX design work and front-end development projects.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS services and deploying applications on AWS.
- Knowledge of relational database technologies (e.g. SQL).
