Adidas is Hiring a Director NAM SCM eCom Channel Development Near Portland, OR

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Direct to Consumer business will represent the majority of adidas revenues by 2025 and it is a yearly double-digit growth which is expected for it in the next 5 years. Beyond sales, the impact we can create on every consumer thanks to Retail, eCom, Omni and Partner Programs is massive and unique.
The Director NAM SCM e-Com Excellence will be accountable for identifying and contributing to the business process improvements through developing and implementing strategic initiatives within the market network.
The Director will co-ordinate multiple projects and programs to enhance supply chain performance and efficiency for e-Com Supply Chain Operations. This includes identification of acceleration potentials in Supply Chain DTC, creating the link to best-practices, innovations, and partnerships, and leading the sustainability charge for the function.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define input, consult and support Sr. Director NAM SCM E-com Excellence in the development and planning of the to be NAM Supply Chain set up and execution of DTC Supply Chain Strategy for e-Com Channel
  • Drive market targets achievement (NPS, eCom Net Sales, margin, costs and consumer service level), including supporting Sr Director in definition of the strategy and the implementation and tracking of the big bets
  • Manage implementation of the required capabilities (e.g., eCom delivery windows, fast order fulfilment via ship from store or dark stores, etc …)
  • Co-ordinate DTC Supply Chain Excellence Initiatives for e-com Operations, across all NAM SCM
  • Create transparency on market specific practices on NAM SCM e-Com Channel activities
  • Incubate Supply Chain e-Com Channel initiatives by securing a sponsor, resources and budget to realize added value and contribution to innovation
  • Define delivery milestones for strategic roadmap considering complex business
Key Relationships:
  • Establish and maintain the relationship with senior stakeholders across the group to secure the alignment & implementation of the NAM DTC roadmap
  • Identify and manage wide corporate network of senior stakeholders and forge deep relationships across the business
  • Stakeholders can relate to the following core functions (up to SVP level):
    • Global DTC Teams
    • NAM SCM
    • NAM Market eCom and Omni Channel teams
    • GOPS S&P
    • Global Digital Sales, Digital Sales Solutions, Tech teams – when needed)
    • Other GOPS and Corporate Functions (when needed)
    • Finance
    • Tech
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven experience and able to interact and navigate with different levels of seniority in various markets and functions
  • Strong business acumen and capacity to quickly understand market business dynamics and needs
  • Proven leadership and engagement skills to drive change and implementation of long-term strategic DTC roadmap within NAM
  • Excellent presentation/communication, negotiation and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders
  • Proven expertise and understanding of complex business interactions in several functions related to DTC (e.g., SCM, Retail, eCom, …), and ability to plan and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences as well as senior leadership
  • End-to-end understanding of Supply Chain Omnichannel business processes and best practices
  • Strong strategic mindset, planning and ability to prioritize and delegate high numbers of tasks with varying workload and importance
  • Strong experience to manage complex projects, especially related to eCom or Retail
  • Curious, energetic personality, eager to think out of the box and explore off beaten tracks, with passion for innovation
  • Self-initiated and pro-active mindset
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • A passion for innovation and sustainable practises
  • Proven experience in multi-cultural and cross-divisional management
Requisite Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management from a College or University. We welcome other relevant experience or a combination of education and experience in place of formal education or a degree
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in one or more Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance functions in a global company, ideally in the sporting goods industry.
  • CPIM, Lean Six Sigma Certification a plus
  • University degree, PMP and lean sigma certification preferred, MBA is a plus
