SummaryJOB DESCRIPTIONOpportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Adient's automotive metal seat frame welding plant in Battle Creek, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance in a production environment. The shift hours for this third shift role are 9:45pm-6:15am.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for fixing equipment as needed, changeovers, PMs and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting.
- Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines.
- Working knowledge of PLC's
- Perform quality checks.
- Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.
- High School Education or Equivalent (GED)
- Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred.
- Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred. Degree or certification from a college or university is required if you do not possess a Journeyman’s card.
- Previous experience working as a Millwright, Electrician or Machine repair in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in an automotive sheet metal stamping facility.
- Experience with large transfer and progressive dies a plus
- Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework.
- Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.
- Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel.
