Participate in Safety Sign-Offs, Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Phase Exit Reviews.
Execute the elements of Supplier Advanced Quality Planning including the following elements; SAQP kick-off meeting, Supplier Process Sign-Off, review and approval of Supplier PPAP.
Develop the Prototype, Pre-production, and Production Control Plans.
Develop the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program, Responsible to ensure that Gage studies (R&R, Bias, Linearity, and Stability) are conducted on all gaging used on the program and that appropriate corrective actions are taken to improve Gage R&R where data indicates.
Responsible for implementation of the Manufacturing Quality Systems for the prototype and pre-production builds (e.g. Incoming Inspection Instructions, Containment Instructions, etc,) as defined in BOS and/or specified on the Product Control Plan.
Responsible for completion of the inspection reports report for components that are used for the prototype and pre-production builds.
Perform capability studies and document the results for all program special characteristics, and ensure that Customer and internal requirements are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained)
Responsible for the color/appearance approval process from pre-grain to PPAP, including proper Customer submission paperwork, by either performing the required activities directly or coordinating the completion of these activities.
Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on-time delivery of PPAP packages for submission and approval by the Customer.
Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on time delivery of supplier AQP deliverables including; Control Plans, Capability Plans, Capability Studies, Part Layouts, Gage design, Gage R&R, PFMEA, DFMEA (if applicable)
Utilize all applicable Customer-specific systems.
Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized throughout the Product and Process Development process and deployed into the Control Plan.
Responsible for completion of all other Customer-specific Advanced Quality Planning requirements.
Responsible to assist other SDT members to assure all SDT deliverables are met on time, to the appropriate level of detail. (PPE) Correctly and appropriately.
Participate and support in environment activities, such as: Environmental Aspect & Impact evaluation.
Ensure that all activities accordance with Environmental legal & requirements.
Voluntary to join safety meeting and immediate action once safety issue present in workplace.
All JSA/Risk assessment, PEIL, environmental aspect up to date for routine, non-routine.
Responsible to lead the abnormality process of internal – external the quality issue.
Communicating often in safety: safety talk, finding status, feedback and keep update.

Qualifications (Education, Skills, And Experiences)
Bachelor’s degree is required (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience working in a manufacturing environment with at least one year in the position of Supplier Quality Engineer and or Plant quality engineer. Ideally this should have been with a multi-national company. Computers and standard business software (Microsoft Office as an example).
Advanced Quality Planning including familiarity with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plan standard, FMEA, PPAP, Dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design, and Performance /Material testing.
Statistical concepts, design of experiments, and problem-solving methodology.
Manufacturing Quality system experience and Customer communication activities.
Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt (Should).
Professional Certification in Quality Engineer is desirable.
In quality people tend to be biased towards Quality Assurance (Systems) or Quality control (Inspection). The candidates for this position should have been exposed heavily in Quality Control.
Specific education and training in Quality disciplines in required, including (minimum): ISO/TS16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and SPC.
Leadership / Management experience in or outside of Johnson Controls.
Candidates must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and ability to inspire individuals or team to improve performance.
BOS auditor training is preferred.
Candidates may have these requirements waived only by the Advanced Quality Manager (or equivalent)
