Job Title: Datacenter Technician

Location: Dallas Equinix site, 75207

Job Description:

Spotlight call notes:

  • Looking for candidates with troubleshooting experience on the hardware side
  • Some familiarity with Linux is a bonus
  • Top 3 skills: Good at troubleshooting, familiarity with hardware, light OS and/or network familiarity
  • Internship experience is acceptable

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Technician responsible for the deployment of NPI engineering projects involving IP (Silicon, HW, SW) and debug of server hardware infrastructure

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide engineering expertise to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographies
  • Engage with internal stakeholders in product planning, development, and validation activities
  • Deploy and maintain NPI server products while partnering with other engineers and contractors
  • Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • High attention to detail and good follow through in a fast pace environment
  • Experience in areas of data center system deployment, software deployment, and validation
  • Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking
  • Ability to function independently with little direct supervision
  • Physical Requirements Candidate needs to be able to lift 50lbs and be flexible enough to get under a raised floor as needed

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • 0 - 2 years experience in high tech industry
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • Skilled in MS Office tool suites, Confluence, MS SharePoint
