Production Control Manager– Harvard, ILADM Pet Nutrition
This is an exempt level position.
Position SummaryADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, is an industry leader in the manufacture of extruded treats and foods for the companion animal market. We are seeking an Administrative/Inventory Supervisor for the Crosswind Petfood business located in Harvard, IL. This position will be responsible for coordinating daily tasks and assuring timeliness and accuracy of transactions. In addition, it will be to coordinate physical inventory counts and reconciliation for all Crosswind locations.
Detailed Responsibilities For This Position Include
  • Supervise the following: Order entry, Invoicing of customers and ship confirmation, return material authorizations, accounts payable transactions, inventory related functions, and payroll.
  • Problem solving for system issues, including: Review batch reports, Open orders, Shipping and or Invoicing errors/Production errors/lot number discrepancies, and Negative balances
  • Supervise inventory/administrative employees at all the CW facilities, which includes providing mentorship and training, assigning duties, approving of absences, develop yearly goals and conduct performance reviews, and address any other issues involving the office staff. Work closely with plant management to ensure alignment of goals, duties and responsibilities.
  • Review business processes for efficiency, accuracy and compliance with internal controls
  • Backup functions for daily inventory related functions which include batch sheet entry, warehouse movements, purchase order receipts.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (focus in Accounting/Supply Chain Management preferred) with at least 5 years of prior relevant experience (supervisory experience highly preferred).
  • Strong problem solving, organizational skills, attention to detail and sense of urgency in addressing issues.
  • Ability to foster a team environment with all co-workers to develop and maintain a high level of employee dedication and morale.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills (verbal/written) with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven Microsoft Office skills – prior Oracle experience highly preferred.
