Job Description
- Assists with daily ADL's and IADL's at individual's home.
- Performs tasks including but not limited to making beds, doing laundry, preparing meals, washing dishes, ironing, cleaning, bathing, dressing, etc.
- Purchases groceries, picks up medication, and toiletries for individuals.
- Helps client up and down stairs, in and out of bed, etc.
- Reminds client to take medication, client will self-administer.
- Accompanies ambulatory/non-ambulatory clients to appointments.
- Entertains patient by reading, talking, listening to individual, escorting to social events, etc.
- Visits several households to provide similar daily care.
- Educate family about status/health of individual being cared for.
