SummaryThe Director for Church, School, and Community Partnerships is responsible for the development and implementation of ADRA’s partnership and presence at SDA and other churches, schools, and relevant community organizations. This includes giving oversight to the creation, maintenance, and distribution of engaging resources that ultimately result in lead generation, first gifts, and current donor retention. Activities of the unit are to align with all aspects of ADRA’s marketing and development operations and that of the agency generally. The director is also responsible for cultivating their own portfolio of key church and school leaders for the purpose of advancing partnership and presence objectives.
This position will be based at ADRA Offices in Silver Spring, Maryland.___________________________________________________________________________________
PRE-REQUISITESRequired
  • Bachelor’s degree and more than 7 years of experience in constituency development, business sales, marketing, fundraising, or related areas with at least three years in leading and managing high performing, professional teams in complex organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with individuals across all organizational levels and constituent demographics.
  • Represent the organization in a mature, professional manner.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Adventist church operations and structures.
  • Demonstrated skill to unite and mobilize a diverse group of people around a shared mission.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Fluency with office software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Teams, and Word.
Preferred
  • Masters preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and management of ADRA’s partnership with churches, schools, and relevant communities for the ultimate purpose of lead generation, first gifts, and donor retention.
  • Oversee and facilitate ADRA’s presence in SDA churches and schools in such a manner that every pastor, lay leader, worshiper, administrator, teacher, and student are aware of ADRA’s global impact and are invited to participate in the spiritual experience of supporting and championing the organization’s mission.
  • Ensure updated lists of all SDA churches, schools, and administrative offices are maintained in the relevant ADRA database.
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate across multiple channels a diverse menu of ADRA’s church and school partnership resources including lobby displays, children’s stories, small group study guides, videos, sermon outlines, worship and fundraising kits, community event kits, student curricula, and similar.
  • Participate as appropriate in strategy development for ADRA’s marketing and development team and ensure alignment with all aspects of ADRA International’s mission and strategies.
  • Strengthen ADRA’s reputation and partnership with SDA churches and schools as the international development and relief organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Represent ADRA at SDA church and school regional forums and consultations in the United States to build positive partnerships.
  • Maintain a portfolio of key church and school contacts (e.g. church administrators, leaders, pastors, school principals, teachers, church receptionists, event coordinators, etc.) to cultivate these relationships more effectively through phone calls, visits, messages, and other personal communications.
  • Supervise all team members assigned to the unit, oversee, and coordinate daily operations, develop budget, manage expenses, and generate necessary reports.
  • Undertake any other duty as may be directed by the Senior Director for Marketing and Communications.
  • Performs other duties as required.
