Donor Relations Coordinator - Part Time

The Adrian Dominican Sisters are seeking a part time Donor Relations Coordinator to join our Fund Development Office team to contribute to the successful effort of the office to obtain funds and donations for the support of the mission and ministry of the Adrian Dominican Sisters at their Motherhouse campus in Adrian, MI.

What you will do in this role : You will be primarily responsible for building relationships with and soliciting donors that result in increased giving and are responsible for identifying and recruiting new donor prospects from the database, cultivating relationships with donors to increase their loyalty, building relationships with, and increasing membership in the Heritage Society, and conducting donor stewardship.

Hours : Part time working 25 hours per week.

Pay : 24.00-26.00 / hr. based on experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Research potential funding through deferred giving programs; cultivate prospects and donors of deferred and other major gifts to the Congregation.
  • Develop a program for planned giving, donations and major gifts.
  • Cultivate identified prospects and donors to the Congregation and assist in the solicitation of prospective donors of large annual gifts.
  • Assist in the solicitation of prospective donors of large annual gifts for other development efforts.
  • Maintain an evolving plan of actions specific to each donor and groups of donors.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational : Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience : 3-5 years of experience working in a development / fundraising office, with proven results of increased giving.

Prior experience with donor software preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Above average communication skills (written / verbal).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to exercise confidentiality.
  • Understanding of, and identification with the vision, mission, and values of the Adrian Dominican Sisters.
  • Ability to use tact, professionalism, and good judgement in order to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Must be willing and able to travel approximately 15-20% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

Physical : Must be able to sit, stand, and move up to eight hours per day. Must be able to frequently stoop, bend, reach.

Must be sighted and capable of hearing. Annual influenza vaccination is required for this position.
