Join a wonderful local team as a Construction Project Assistant and make your mark in the construction industry! We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Construction Project Assistant to provide construction services on small projects and assist in managing larger ones. With a focus on customer satisfaction, project communication, and cost control, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that each project runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing construction services as required
- Resolving punch list items and performing final walk-throughs with customers
- Communicating project updates and coordinating with subcontractors
- Scheduling projects with the Construction Manager/Coordinator
- Documenting project activities and managing change orders
- Maintaining quality standards through site inspections and evaluating subcontractors
- Ensuring all work performed complies with plans, specifications, and local codes
Requirements:
- Superb customer service skills
- Effective written and oral communication
- Basic math skills
- Experience in restoration and/or construction preferred
- Knowledge and skills to perform construction services
- High school diploma/GED
Physical Requirements:
- Walking and/or standing throughout the day
- Some heavy lifting of materials
- Some driving and sitting
- Occasionally climbing ladders
- Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat and loud noise levels
- Exposure to power tools and other machinery
Working Hours and Travel Requirements:
- Full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- May require long hours, working on-call, and weekend work in support of emergency services
- Primarily local travel, but some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
