We are currently seeking a Bilingual HR Generalist & Safety Representative to join our Oklahoma Plant located at 4901 South I-35 Service Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73129. Role Description: The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources function in our API manufacturing locations. This position will also be responsible for helping lead the Safety function at the same facilities. The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with local API leadership as well as the Sr. HR Manager located in Sugar Land, TX. This position will be responsible for the following HR functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. Additionally, support to the Enterprise level safety organization while functioning as the local Safety Representative will also be within this positions remit. In this role, your will be responsible for the Oklahoma Plant as well as supporting our Las Vegas and Baltimore Plant locations. Travel to the Sugar Land Corporate offices and the other plants will be a regular expectation of the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manages and resolve employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions. Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action. • Updates, monitors, and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on merit or promotions. Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e., annual performance reviews). • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt & non-exempt personnel and conducts new hire orientations and exit interviews. • Attends unemployment hearings when necessary. Maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case files and follows up on open cases. • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulation related to employee and applicant documentation; USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; and EEO-1 report annually. • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. • Supports the Safety Manager and collaborates with management to develop and implement safety policies and procedures. • Conducts regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards at all plant locations. • Leads or assists in investigations as directed by the Safety Manager. • Provides safety training to employees and promotes a culture of safety awareness. • Stay updated on safety regulations and coordinate with Safety Manager on company compliance at the local, state, and federal standards. Qualifications: • Education: o Bachelor’s degree. o HR Certification preferred, but not required: e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP o Safety Certification preferred, but not required: • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of HR generalist or Safety Representative experience. • Skills: o Bilingual with English and Spanish or English or Vietnamese will be a plus. o Excellent communication skills highlighting ability to build relationships with internal and external clients. o Excellent Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion o Strong ability to organize, plan, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. o Strong MS Office and Workday capability will be a plus. o Ability to travel at least one (1) week a month and a maximum of (2) weeks per month.
