AdvanceCare Health Services, LLC is seeking an Independent Paralegal Contractor to provide paralegal support services. This is a PRN part-time contract position for up to 5-10 hours per Month.

As a paralegal, you will be responsible for legal research, gathering facts and retrieving information, drafting and analyzing legal documents, reviewing current documents for legal correctness, collecting, compiling, and utilizing technical information, assisting senior leadership with legal questions. You may also be performing some administrative duties.

DUTIES:

• Prepare legal documents and correspondence under the direction of senior leadership.
• Legal Research.
• Maintains a log/database for all legal matters.
• Assists with receipt of notice of service of process and other pleadings and distributions to parties on a timely basis.
• Processing, redlining and proofreading legal documents and correspondence.
• Screens direct and/or respond to emails, telephone calls, faxes, mail, and other inquiries.
• Organizes, indexes, and maintains law libraries, documents, and case files.
• Help with various special projects on an as-needed basis.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Recent Paralegal experience
• Demonstrated work experience as a paralegal. Healthcare, Senior Care Industry, or long-term care experience preferred.
• Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, practices, etc.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail.
• Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or other paralegal certification.
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office & Google Suite of products.
• Process Driven
• Must be able to deal with confidential material/documents with discretion and confidentiality.
• Must be over the age of 18, have a Valid Driver's License,.
• Must be able to clear a Criminal Background Check (7-10 years).
