Advanced Bifurcation Systems is Hiring an Engineering Technician Near Livermore, CA
QualificationsCommunity college, undergraduate degree or equivalent education and 0-3 years of professional experience, including functional operational experience in the medical devices sector is preferred (ideally in the cardiology field). Familiarity with data modeling tools and software is preferred.
ResponsibilitiesEngineering technician will fulfill several job duties during their workday with an overall objective of assuring that product output: (i) meets or exceeds all quality system requirements; (ii) meets productivity standards; and (iii) is efficient with respect to the utilization of ABS resources. Job responsibilities include:
- Create drawings and schematics using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Review drawings, and update as necessary, to ensure accurate specifications for components, sub-components, raw-materials, and finished devices.
- Troubleshoot problems that arise with tools/machinery and coordinate necessary repairs.
- Conduct experiments and investigations under the guidance of senior engineer and management.
- Work with engineer(s) and staff to ensure production is efficient and drive improvements, as necessary.
- Ensure availability of required materials, tools, and machinery for production/manufacturing.
- Supporting production by assisting with one or more or all stages of the manufacturing process.
- Assess the quality of products and identify any defects.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance department to assist with testing and/or inspection of raw-materials, components, and finished
- Ensure products meet safety and quality control requirements.

- Ability to collaborate and establish good working relationship with vendors and service providers.
