We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO). The COO will be responsible for overseeing our company's ongoing operations and procedures to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer and President

BASIC FUNCTION: The position of Chief Operations Officer plans, organizes, and controls all day-to-day activities of branch and support operations of the Bank and collaborates with the CEO and President on the overall administration of the Bank. Responsible for developing and implementing policies, plans, and programs related to retail banking, support operations, and other major functions of the bank.

Supervises: Deposit Operations Managers, Head of Retail

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports branch, bookkeeping, and customer service personnel in all aspects of bank operations, as well as in advising on policy questions, staff requirements, performance appraisals, and salary administration.
• Maintains records retention and retrieval programs.
• Aids in research and development of new deposit products
• Maintains administrative parameters for bank platforms and other systems
• Ultimately responsible for the bank’s tellers, new accounts, customer services (Calls, complaints, resolutions, statements, balances, etc), night deposit services, safe deposit boxes, automated teller machines, branch operations, proof, bookkeeping, fraud, privacy, identity, and theft.
• Communicates operations issues and/or risks associated with the entire corporation
• Creates operations’ policies and procedures
• Oversees and ensures that the policies and procedures of the organization comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Reviews and interprets new and pending laws and regulations, which potentially affect the originations’ business practices.
• Responsible for recommending, planning, implementing and control of activities designed to achieve long-range objectives.
• Works with Executive Committee on strategic planning activities to sure and enhance organizational compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintains relationships with regulators by complying with their requests, providing timely and accurate reports, and facilitating examinations with prompt response and accurate data.
• Maintains professional behavior and positive working relationships both internally and when representing the Bank in the community
• Will be a member of the IT Steering Committee and may serve as the Information Security Officer, as well as other regulatory-designated roles
• Performs other duties as assigned
