Advanced Care Partners is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Near Port Saint Lucie, FL

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team at Advanced Care Pediatrics, a medical model childcare setting for children with complex medical needs. You will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to our individuals, ensuring their safety, well-being, and optimal development.


Responsibilities:


  • Clinical Care:

    • Manage and administer medications and treatments following physician orders.

    • Continuously assess and monitor the individuals' conditions and needs.

    • Implement appropriate actions based on patient assessments and respond to changes effectively.

    • Document all care actions and individual responses to treatment in medical records.

    • Manage vital signs, interpret data, and identify potential concerns.

    • Administer various respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, CPT, suctioning, and pulse oximetry monitoring.

    • Provide skilled personal hygiene assistance while maintaining dignity and respect.

    • Monitor individual's intake and output (I&O) and intervene as needed.

    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans and goals.

    • Foster normal development and psychosocial adaptation through therapeutic interventions.

    • Advocate for the individuals and their families, respecting their privacy and rights.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Effectively communicate with families and staff regarding individual care plans, updates, and concerns.

    • Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care coordination.

    • Provide information and guidance regarding community resources available to families.

  • Professionalism and Development:

    • Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, company policies, and ethical standards of nursing practice.

    • Maintain current professional credentials and actively pursue continuous learning and development.

    • Perform duties in alignment with the company's mission and values.

Qualifications:

  • Current Florida RN license.
  • Two or more years of pediatric nursing experience, with at least six months caring for medically or technology-dependent children.

  • Demonstrated pediatric nursing experience within the past 24 months, providing care for acutely or chronically ill children.

  • Preferred experience in neonatal, PICU, or critical care, including ventilator management, tracheostomy care, G-tube feeding, IV and central line care.

  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray documentation.

  • Satisfactory criminal background check.


Physical Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to and from the center.

  • Ability to stand, lift, and assist in lifting individuals in an emergency.

  • Good flexibility for bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.

  • Strong visual and hearing acuity.

  • Manual dexterity for grasping and manipulating small objects.

  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations.
