Overview / Job Responsibilities:

At ACT1 Federal, our people make the difference. As a Journeyman Engineer, supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), you will be trusted to provide engineering support for Common Support Equipment and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Division.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate Common Support Equipment (CSE) to include:
    • Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) family of testers
    • Portable Electronic Maintenance Aid (PEMA)
    • Propulsion test equipment such as Jet Engine Test Instruments (JETI)
    • Future Navy/DoD Automatic Test System (ATS)
    • Applicable Naval avionics design to test industry standards.
  • Applying engineering experience to perform functions such as analyze Test Program design, development, Integration, test and evaluate, generate appropriate resolutions to TPS/ATE problems of Naval Aircrafts systems.
  • Reviewing and preparing engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation and attends technical meetings (such as design reviews) as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Relevant Engineering or Science field is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an engineering position
    • Three (3) of which must be directly related to Navy Family of Automatic Test Equipment (ATEs), or related ATE Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, and Test & Evaluation.
  • Previous experience with one of the following systems:
    • Avionics Automatic Test Equipment (CASS Family of Testers including Electro Optics and Radio Frequency configurations)
    • Propulsion Test Equipment
    • Automatic Test System open systems architecture (including IEEE SCC20 standards)
    • Test Program Sets
  • An active secret clearance is required.
