IEA Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives is Hiring a Communications Specialist II Near Denver, CO

Overview
Responsible for supporting efforts to inform, influence and inspire internal clients, this role takes a strategic communication approach that advances the company brand, strengthens employee engagement and ultimately influences team goals. This position works closely with internal departments and stakeholders throughout the company to write and disseminate content across multiple channels, including email, employee communication app, digital publishing networks and internal events.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, plan, write, schedule and publish content for company newsletters to targeted audiences through a variety of communication platforms (email, text, print, apps, etc.)
  • Develop content for internal stakeholders and projects
  • Creates content campaigns for website and social media
  • Provide recommendations on measurable internal strategies and tactics
  • Contribute to overall content strategy based on stakeholders' strategic priorities and employee engagement goals
  • Collaborate with internal clients to ensure brand voice is conveyed consistently
  • Monitor analytics and generate reports to influence communication strategy
  • Proofread materials to produce accurate and high-quality work
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English or related field required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant professional experience in communications or marketing
  • Familiarity with corporate communications in a business setting, preferably in a construction-related industry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company's Zero Injury principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from internal clients/business partners
  • Ability to think creatively to meet business requirements
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Organized and an eye for detail
  • Ability to handle projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with html email programs such as Constant Contact and/or texting platforms a plus
