Job Title: Service Technician

Service technician will be performing service of portable fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems.

Technician will be dealing directly with customers daily and will also be involved in sales as needed.

Duties:

Candidate will be responsible for scheduling their service appointments for the day and making sure they have the necessary tools and equipment loaded on the van for the day. All tools and vehicles provided by the company.

Communicating directly with the customer at each job site and performing service work in a timely manner.

Bring extinguishers in to the shop for service/repair. Performing said service and scheduling the return of the customers extinguishers.

Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Valid NYS Driver’s License.

Experience in a fire service related field would be beneficial but not necessary.

Experience in a service related business is a plus.

Knowledge of N.Y.S. Fire & Building Codes and NFPA Standards.

Ability to use common tools such as wrenches, drills, screwdrivers & a limited number of power tools.

Good overall physical dexterity, including being able to carry and climb ladders.

Will commonly be required to lift 40 lbs. and occasionally as much as 100 lbs.

Attention to detail is a must.

Good time management skills.

We work in facilities that manufacture military grade components, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, schools and many others, random drug testing and background checks are required by some of our customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $26.00 per hour
