THE ROLE:

The Datacenter Accelerated Computing Validation Team is looking for dynamic and energetic engineers to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the validation of AMD’s GPU based datacenter accelerators, you will work in cross-functional teams to deliver industry leading products forArtificial Intelligence(AI),Machine Learning (ML),and High-Performance Computing(HPC)applications. 

Specifically, this role is focused on manufacturing test automation, validation, and cross-functional program managementtohelp our manufacturingpartners’deliverAMD’s leading datacenter GPUs.

THE PERSON:

Acandidatewho:

  • Has strong analytical thinking andproblem solvingskills with excellent attention to details
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive yield improvements to the manufacturingprocess
  • Must be a team player but also be able to work efficiently with minimalsupervision
  • Has a strong interest inthe manufacturing ofGPU hardwareandknowledgeofAI,ML,and HPC products
  • Isvery familiarwithLinux, and computer hardwarevalidation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As aDC GPUManufacturing Validation and Test Automation Engineer, you willwork withacross-functional organizationtoplan, develop, andvalidatetest content and automation for AMD’s manufacturing test program.

Responsibilities include:

  • IdentifyAI, ML and HPC workloads needed tovalidate/ stress AMD DC GPUs
  • Collaborate withSW and HW teams tocreate and automatevalidationprogramsfora high-volume manufacturingenvironments
  • Develop python basedautomated testsuites and contentforcomputer hardwarevalidation
  • Work with stakeholders to drive yield and test qualityimprovements
  • Work withstakeholdersgloballyto develop documentation,processimprovements, and provide support to theDC GPUmanufacturingprogram
  • Develop data analysis and reporting to supportstakeholders withdata driven decisionmaking
  • Participate and leaddiscussions on manufacturing testprogram updates, constraints, andoptimizations

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experiencewithindustry standard benchmarks, AI/ML/HPC applications
  • History of applied Python development skills with focus on object oriented and adherence to bestpractices
  • Experiencewithhardware validation with a focus onhigh volume and contract manufacturing 
  • Experience working systematically throughmanufacturingyield issuesand generating solutions andfollow-ups
  • Must have strong analytical skills for test creation anddebug
  • Must havestrong communicationand collaborationskills
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to independently drive tasks tocompletion
  • Hands-on experience in datacenter system architecture an asset

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor ormaster's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or an equivalent preferred
