The Role:

The Power and Performance lab at AMD is hiring a Sr. Technical Support Technician. You have the opportunity to join us on the ground floor of one of the most exciting product portfolios in the industry! There is lots of room for growth in this small but growing team. The Person:

The ideal candidate has a confirmed understanding of semiconductor testing and good technical knowledge on equipment and testing documentation. You have experience in equipment verification, repair and problem solving. Though you are independent, inventive and take initiative, you are also a phenomenal teammate with a positive working demeanor. A successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, as well as customer service skills when working with contractors and suppliers

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain lab space, test racks, infrastructure, & test equipment
• Update and maintain Inventory SOR
• Install and run benchmarks, harvest results & compile for analysis
• Support engineers with automated and manual test execution on multiple platforms
• Support root cause failure analysis with software and hardware debugging utilities/tools.
• Build, Configure, Support, and Troubleshoot lab systems, both hardware and software

Preferred Experience:

• Basic knowledge of soldering
• Inventory SOR knowledge
• Basic electronics knowledge
• Basic Microsoft product experience
• PC build knowledge
• Basic shooting skills

Academic Credentials: HS/GED
