Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and keeps clean work area for installation of equipment

* Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

* Installs controls and distribution gear, such as switches, panel boards, disconnects and Inverters

* Analyze proper fastening system for equipment support

* Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specification

* Connect power cables to equipment such as Disconnects, Panel boards, Inverters, motors, and transformer per manufacturer specs and permitted drawings.

* Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams/blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.

* Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments such as Amp probe, clamp meter and voltage meter.

* Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

* Installs all solar related components AC and DC electric per plans

* Installs Solar modules and racking per plans

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education

* High School Degree or GED

Experience

* Minimum of 3 years' experience

* Vocational School or approved apprenticeship training

Skills & Requirements

* Minimum 18 years of age

* Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

* Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests

* State-wide travel required

Working Conditions | Environment | Special Requirements

* Full time onsite

* Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
