GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: SQL Server Administrator I assist with monitoring and management of mission-critical databases and supporting ATG software developers with their database requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor successful completion of automated database jobs, troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor database performance, track performance metrics (index usage, CPU, Memory, I/O statistics), and offer tuning and optimization options.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries.
• Develop and implement automation scripts for routine database tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, T-SQL and database query optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based SQL Server deployments (e.g., Azure SQL Managed Instance and Database).
• Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
• Knowledge of other database systems (e.g. DB2) is a plus.
