Position Summary: Working at our Hopewell, VA weigh / scale facility, the weighmaster will be responsible for the organization of shipping paperwork and managing inbound/outbound truck scale traffic to AdvanSix facilities as well as other local company facilities. Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure trucks leaving the scales are at a safe and legal weight in compliance with guidelines set forth by AdvanSix and the Department of AgricultureLogging information relevant to each truck, including vehicle type, tags, and driver. Accurately record data for billing purposes.Maintain the accuracy of the scales and coordinate scale preventive maintenanceMust work well with vendors, truck drivers, and customersMust be responsible, punctual, productive, organized, work well under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environmentWeigh all inbound/outbound trucks and containersOrganize and manage shipping paperwork for inbound trucksCapture required information from drivers while on the scaleWork comfortably within the Company’s inventory management and truck scale softwareScan all shipping documents as appropriateKeep track of Company release numbersAssist with other projects as assigned in addition to regular job responsibilities Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalentBasis Math SkillsExperience with radio communicationWork well under pressureAble to work occasional overtime to meet deadlinesMulti-task and set priorities effectively Additional Qualifications:Warehouse/Trucking knowledgeProficient with a variety of computer systems and software including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Proficient with office equipment including computers, copiers, scanners, printers, etc.
