**Job Summary
**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Laser Operator to join our team at our facility. Laser operators produce parts from metal sheets of various compounds using a computer controlled cutting head producing a highly focused beam of light that creates high precision cuts. Laser operators utilize blueprints and/or plans for the finished product, adjust the machine to control speed, amperage, path of the cut; as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products. The CNC Laser Operator makes sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. They look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production. Experience with machine brands such as Trumpf, Amada, and Cincinnati is highly desirable.
**Essential Functions
**
Candidate must possess the ability to set up and operate a laser cutter with CNC controls, with a high degree of efficiency to very tight tolerances.
Knowing how to perform basic maintenance and achieve peak performance from machines.
Perform to a high level of craftsmanship with attention to detail. Ability to translate print specifications into a form set up and executes production runs. Must be able to maintain tight tolerance.
Ability to read blueprints and understand requirements for cutting materials.
Must be able to read and properly use a variety of precision measuring tools.
Demonstrating the ability to understand complex procedures is a must.
Knowledge of mathematics and set up problem solving skills are necessary.
Perform machine setups for production runs.
Program and troubleshoot using M-Code and G-Code
Maintain and clean machines to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

**Required Education and Experience
**
High School Diploma or equivalent minimum
2-4 years of prior CNC controlled laser operations preferred.
Prior experience operating CNC Plasma Cutters, Manual Plasma Cutters, and CNC Laser Cutters
Proficiency in machine setups for production runs
Strong knowledge of M-Code and G-Code programming
Familiarity with machine brands such as Trumpf, Amada, and Cincinnati
Attention to detail and ability to inspect finished products for quality.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adherence to safety protocols and ability to maintain a clean work environment.
**Work Environment
**
This position is in a manufacturing shop environment that is clean and fast paced. Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time may be required. Some exposure to noise and various types of equipment is typical.
**Schedule
**
Hiring for multiple shifts:
Shift 1: Monday – Friday 6:00AM – 2:30PM
Shift 2: Monday – Friday 2:15PM – 10:45PM
Shift 3: Monday – Friday 10:00PM – 6:30AM
Additional time may be required on an as needed basis.
**Compensation
**
Compensation for this position will start at $20 – $30 per hour depending on experience. Benefits are available after a waiting period and include shared cost health care, paid holidays, paid time off, and 401k with company match.
