- Accurately record patients’ medical histories
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
- Observe patients to identify progress and side effects of medications
- Monitor patients’ conditions, including fluid intake and output, and maintain patient charts
- Assist patients with daily activities such as eating and bathing
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, and clean and dress wounds
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
