Advantage Resourcing is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Engineering Management team in Jeanerette, LA.
The Project Engineer will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering, this role involves leading the engineering and design efforts for multiple vessels ranging from 20’ to 150’ in length. You will oversee a diverse team of multi-discipline engineers and designers, fostering their growth through coaching and mentorship to develop them into future leaders or subject matter experts within our company.
Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering and design activities for vessels of varying sizes.
• Manage a team of multi-discipline engineers and designers.
• Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members.
• Ensure designs meet production requirements.
• Familiarity with aluminum vessel design and construction principles.
• Comply with Classification Society rules (ABS, DNV, USCG, etc.).
• Utilize software tools including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Rhino, Solidworks, and ShipConstructor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years in the marine industry with experience in vessel design or production.
• At least 5 years in Project Engineering or Project Management.
• Knowledge of designing for production.
• Expertise in aluminum vessel structures, electrical and mechanical systems, and fabrication.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 annually.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
