JobSummary:

Develop, implement, and manage the quality processes, methods, and management system to ensure materials meet or exceed our customers expectations based upon a broad scope of experience. Ensure that these quality processes, methods, and management system meet or exceed the requirements of our quality standards.

Essential Functions:

• Lead/participate in Quality Assurance activities relating to quality including specification review, processing requirements, and sampling plans.
• Perform product/process analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, scrap reduction, yield improvements and efficiency.
• Coordinate, assign and lead customer complaints / RMAs utilizing cross functional teams as appropriate to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Develop and manage Material Review Board for nonconforming materials along with analyzing data for improvements.
• Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, methods, and controls through data trending and analysis.
• Develop, lead/participate in internal, customer and 3rd party audits and process reviews to standards including applicable customer specifications/standards.
• Assist in training shop floor associates on quality processes and methods.
• Assume responsibility for the safety and environmental issues associated with the quality processes and equipment.
• Work alongside engineers, assisting with research, evaluation, design, and quality control processes.
• Assist in New Product development, research, testing, and ratings.
• Read, understand, and reference industry standards and associations.
• Inspect goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain company inspection reports.
• Identify possible areas for continuous improvement and offer suggestions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of company product codes and terminology.
• Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments.
• Understanding of basic mathematical computations and geometric concepts.
• Experienced in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree required or equivalent experience.
• 2 years process and quality experience in manufacturing required.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001
• Experience leading projects and teams
• Demonstrated experience developing audit procedures around processes.
• Thorough understanding of company product codes and terminology.

Physical Requirements:

• Office environment
• Regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions
• Must be able to lift up to 15lbs
• Requires the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens, accounting ledgers, using measurement devices).
• This job regularly requires verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person.

Pay rate and Provisions:

• Pay Range is $58,000 - $65,000 per year (depending on experience)
