We're searching for a motivated Assistant Controller experienced in accounting support, especially in consumer products manufacturing and e-commerce. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, emotionally intelligent, self-driven, and adept at communication. This role supports the company controller in daily tasks and special projects, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. Title: Assistant Controller

Location: Near Carson, Hybrid Role (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Salary: Up to $125,000

Flexible Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM (Flexible start time)

Key Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in senior accounting, including supervision or management (Public accounting experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience in managing AP and AR teams
• Proficiency in reconciliations, month-end entries, inventory, and standard cost
• Industry experience in wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing
• Software proficiency in NetSuite
• BA in Accounting

Responsibilities:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure accurate recording of business transactions
• Update accounts receivable and resolve reconciliation issues
• Prepare financial statements and analyze the company’s financial status
• Manage balance sheets and forecast future earnings and expenses
• Assist in accounting, auditing, and budgeting management
• Prepare for audits and ensure compliance with government regulations
• Reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances
• Utilize accounting software (NetSuite) to maintain records and prepare reports
• Coordinate with CFO and upper management, providing necessary reports
