Staff Accountant / Commissions Accountant

*Hybrid Role: 4 days a week in our beautiful Dallas Galleria location; 1 day a week working from home.
The Staff Accountant provides accounting support services in maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, calculating and administering commissions, closing processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- A minimum of one (1) year of general accounting experience
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proven analytical skills working with both operational and financial metrics
- Proactive orientation to task management and willingness to assume ownership
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Experience in staffing a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel User
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Wells Fargo CEO a plus
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with month- and year-end close processes and financial reporting
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; and reconciling accounts in compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist with A/P and A/R transactions as needed
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Perform bank reconciliations, verify deposits, and address bank inquiries
- Manage corporate credit cards and allocate expense reports
- Manage commissions process and service internal inquiries
- Assist with annual audits and file recurring tax submissions
- Assist with allocating ADP payroll GL files and posting to the P&L
- Stay up to date on industry regulations and accounting standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial and operational goals
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial data
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
