Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm ; Class Starts January 15th thru February 27th, 2024

Location: 100 HOSPITAL DRIVE, Hendersonville, 28792

The role you’ll contribute: Employee is hired to complete 6-week medical assistant program and will be required to pass NHA exam. This is a partnership with Blue Ridge Community College.

The value you’ll bring to the team

  • Provide patient care in the office setting.
  • Provide care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.
  • Provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician.
  • Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ability to assist nursing and medical staff with routine examinations and patient treatments. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
  • Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must complete 6-week CMA course upon hire through AdventHealth Hendersonville and pass NHA exam at end of course.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
