Job Summary:

Manage projects through the entire project life cycle, including project initiation, execution, delivery, business value recognition and validation, and eventual retirement of the projectdeliverables. Accountable for leading cross-functional teams on projects and ensures achievement of expected deliverables and alignment with the overall Care Delivery and organizational strategic objectives. Works closely withoperational and shared services leadership and relevant support departments to achieve defined goals and objectives. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professionaland supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's degree: Preferred
  • Five years' experience: Preferred
  • One year's leadership experience: Preferred
  • Program development or project management experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification: Preferred
  • PMP Certification: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Manages multiple strategic projects simultaneously. Utilize business process management, process improvement, and project management methodologies to successfully deliver business value through strategic program/project initiatives. Responsible for the planning, executing, and evaluating programs/projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets; accountable for program/project results along with the Sponsor. Build and manage project teams, reporting to the Project Sponsor, and ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycles. Work with Program/Project Sponsor and Stakeholders to complete project charter outlining the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing. Complete work break down structure to estimate effort required for each task. Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis. Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine howwell results were achieved. Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Track and report on project milestones to project team and stakeholders.
  • Participate in developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented, approved, and managed within the context of the overall project. Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion. Develop and manage tools and best practices for project management.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
